DVO Dry Clean
Hi,
I just wanted to remind you that many television documentary programs contain archival footage, which often has many artifacts of old film and lines falling out.
This tool alone could solve many problems. However, a second problem should be recognized. Developers do not optimize their software for acceleration on modern GPUs. This situation is coming to a head, the Neat Video plugin actually solves many problems, raising the competitive bar.
Let's be honest, the DVO Dry Clean plugin inside Adobe Premiere will not be able to harm the marketing of film production programs, which use a completely different approach to work and face different tasks.
I want to express my hope that your company will find the right solution.
Thanks

Hi Frame Worker ,
Neat has interesting uses, but it's not a competitor to DryClean; DVO Velvet, Clarity and DVO Grain GT would be a more direct comparison. DryClean was created to clean up blemishes and artifacts from film material; it can be used for certain video issues but it's not its main purpose.
We're investigating GPU rendering for certain operations, and the Mac OFX package has some Metal acceleration when processing high-resolution files (larger than UHD). Currently, CPU processing offers better precision for certain operations in restoration ( you can see that even our competitors haven't fully moved to GPU or ML operations, outside of some specific upscaling and frame rate conversions). Still, the goal is to work on a new line of plugins that can benefit from GPU usage and provide us with the expected results our restoration customers expect.
Best,
Gustavo Mendes
