Support for Phoenix was spectacular back when we used the Google Groups. Lots of lively discussions and "official" support was always very quick. Filmworkz then decided to "fix" something that wasn't broken and introduced these forums. They work, but very few people followed over from the google groups - and as you've now realized it's not a group (or forum) without robust interaction of people.
While these forums may be quiet, but at least it was available, and Phoenix users could bounce ideas off each other. This AI "solution" eliminates ALL interaction. It's moronic. If you can't or don't want to pay a staffer to moderate it, ask for user volunteers. Many, many issues we need help with are extremely project specific. No AI is ever going to be able to sort out the solutions. It'll just spit out authoritative sounding answers that help no one at best. At worst it could suggest things that could truly screw up your work.
AI would be of much better use in developing "smarter" tools. Dry Clean with AI "brains" would be industry changing. A De-flicker tool that works on footage that has movement, stabilization that is not so easily thrown off and can adjust rotation/skew. There are plenty of areas Filmworkz could implement AI that make sense. "Support" isn't one of them.
Losing Patrick Morgan from the Phoenix team was the beginning of a long slow death. I hear that Björn is now also gone. It pains me to think this as I've been a loyal Phoenix user since 2011 but it may be time to search for other restoration solutions. Filmworkz truly doesn't seem to care all that much for this application (or the folks that use it).
