Supported Formats

Nucoda and Phoenix have an option in Preferences>General to set the use of extended formats to last or never. This option controls if we use a third-party decoder when importing a file.

This setting can help the user to understand when an incompatible file is not importing properly. Change this setting if you have issues with a specific file. The default setting should be “Last”.

By default, Nucoda and Phoenix can read the following files:

  • DNxHD and HR - Op-Atom

  • Apple Prores (.mov, .mxf)

  • Sony RAW

  • Arri RAW (Arri 35 support coming in a later release)

  • Red Camera .r3d files
